From the Desk of the State Overseer


We extend our love and sympathies to the Parker family in the passing of Brother Don Parker and also to the Pruitt family in the loss of Sister Norma Pruitt. “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints” (Psalms  116:15).


Several ministers (Brother Hoffman, Brother Reeves and Brother Flippo) have been in the hospital and we are thankful to report that they are now home recovering. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. We have also had quite a few members down sick but we trust that the Lord will continue to touch every one as we pray and trust in Him.


Our Altar Ministry Workshop in Somerville was a great blessing. Special thanks to Brother Shuler for his teaching and to our membership for your participation in this function. Those who attended are now better equipped to be used of the Lord in this vital ministry.


The Shuler Family has been traveling around the State holding revivals and special services. Their music and preaching has been a blessing. From here, they will traveling to Virginia, Florida and Georgia. Please keep this family in your prayers. Pastors, if you would like to schedule them at your local church (revivals of any length or special services or singings) after the General Assembly this year, please let me know as soon as possible.


District Convention season is almost here!  Our District Overseers are preparing their programs and will be sending information to the pastors soon. Southern District - March 3, Central District - March 17, Northern District - March 31. Please be much in prayer for these functions and make preparations to attend.


The State Finance and Appropriations Committee will be meeting at the Central District Convention, immediately following the end of the afternoon session.


The General Ways & Means Committee will be meeting in Cleveland on March 3rd. Please keep this committee in your prayers as they gather to review the general ledgers, financial's and prepare for the upcoming General Assembly.
